Institute for Work and Health presents a short research course on Intervention Mapping

IWH is holding a research short course on Intervention Mapping. Some members of KTE Community of Practice might be interested.

Intervention Mapping: Developing and Evaluating Theory and Evidence-Based Programs
July 21-22, 2008
89 Chestnut Street
University of Toronto

Do you have an interest in evaluating program interventions? Would you like to develop new planning and evaluation techniques?

Intervention Mapping (IM) offers a step-by-step program to make theory practical and to create effective interventions, using the best information from the behavioural and social sciences. Professor Nell Gottlieb, co-author of Health Promotion Planning: An Intervention Mapping Approach, will be presenting an introductory course on IM in Toronto.

This course is for both researchers and non-researchers who have an interest or responsibility for evaluation of program interventions. After two days, you will have a basic knowledge of intervention mapping tools. You will also be able to effectively use the book and engage in project-based intervention mapping.

All registrants will receive a copy of Health Promotion Planning: An Intervention Mapping Approach, 2nd Ed, by Gottlieb, Bartholomew, Parcel, Kok published by Jossey-Bass in 2006.
