The PRIME (Pediatric Rehabilitation Intervention Measure of Engagement) Research team is an interdisciplinary CIHR-funded research team conducting research to better understand engagement and its effects on practice and client outcomes. Housed within the Bloorview Research Institute at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, the team is also developing measures of child and family engagement in therapy sessions, and seeks to share information in effective ways.
We are seeking a full-time Knowledge Translation (KT) Specialist, reporting to the team lead, Dr. Gillian King. The KT specialist will be responsible for product development activities, and knowledge dissemination and engagement activities. The primary activities involve (1) developing a comprehensive KT plan, (2) creating a manual that reviews the engagement literature, summarizes what has been learnt in this research program, and provides a ‘primer’ of strategies to enhance engagement, based on qualitative findings from children/youth, parents, and service providers, and (3) creating training materials and engaging in key message development with the research team.
