Mailing List

The KTECOP mailing list is an e-mail listserv for members of the Knowledge Transfer and Exchange Community of Practice.

The purpose of the list is to keep members informed about KTECOP meetings and events, to share information about knowledge transfer events and job opportunities, and to discuss related topics.

How to Subscribe

When you Join KTECOP, you will automatically be subscribed to the KTECOP mailing list.

Of course, you can choose not to subscribe by deselecting the mailing list option on the Registration Form when you join.

If you decide later that you do want to subscribe, send an e-mail to exchange@ktecop.ca with the word “subscribe” (without the quotes) in the subject line.

How to Unsubscribe

Members may opt out (unsubscribe) at any time. To change your account options, see the instructions below.

How to Change Your Account Options

Mailing List Etiquette

Here are a few tips to keep the mailing list working smoothly:

Use Meaningful Subject Lines

Use a subject line that lets people know what your message is about. For example, don’t say “Question”, say “When is the next KTECOP meeting?”

If You Change the Topic, Change the Subject Line

If you’re starting a new discussion thread, change the subject line. This lets the reader know what to expect, and it allows a collection of messages about a single topic to be sorted and easily grouped in your e-mail in-box and in the mailing list archive.

Avoid Junk Messages

Don’t clog up the list with messages like “me too” and “thanks” that only add to the clutter. If you want to thank someone, reply directly to that person, not the whole list.

Quote Sparingly

When replying to a message, delete unnecessary quoted text from previous messages. Leave only enough to provide context.

Differentiate between Public and Private Space

The mailing list is a public space. If you want to have a private discussion with another member of the list that will be of no interest to the rest of the group, take the discussion offline by e-mailing the other person directly.
