The KMC will bring considerable interpersonal and relationship building skills to meet in success in current College directions as well as new initiatives. The KMC will develop and support: KM training, education and networking activities for students, faculty and the community: knowledge mobilization and research partnerships, including identifying and marketing CSAHS’s research to audiences and supporting the reception and review and matching of inquiries for research partnerships: new communication strategies, systems and materials for project, centre/institute and college specific purposes. Applicants should have a master’s degree in social sciences, health or a related field and a minimum of 3 years in a knowledge management, knowledge translation, community development or government policy position or an equivalent of education and experience. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario works with physcians in practice to evaluate and continuously improve medical care.  We are currently seeking a uniquely skilled individual to join our team in the Quality Management Division as:  <em><strong>Assessor Network &amp; Education Facilitator.</strong>  </em><strong> </strong>This person will work intensely with physicians who are in active practice but who also work with the College as physician assessors.  There are approximately 350 assessors from across Ontario and collectively they are responsible for 2,000 physician assessments annually.  The role will be to lead the organization of these physicians into ‘networking groups’ and then assist these groups to fulfil their mandate, i.e. to foster a ‘community of College assessors’, provide advice and guidance to the College, and continuously improve College assessments.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong>A Masters in education and several years experience in adult education and knowledge translation or a combination of relevant education and experience in the health and/or regulatory sectors.  Additional knowledge and skill regarding web-based networking and collaboration tools a must. <p>The Manager of KT&amp;E will:</p>

<li>Responsible for all activities related to knowledge translation &amp; exchange in the strategic and operational plan and will help to ensure the organization obtaining its goals.</li>
<li>Acts as a consultant and expert adviser to internal and external stakeholders on all knowledge translation and exchange issues related to best practices in child injury prevention.</li>
<li>Builds and enhances relationships with research and knowledge translation stakeholders in the injury prevention as well as the broader health care field</li>
<li>Represents Safe Kids Canada at conferences and on various internal and external committees to build productive relationships, provide technical expertise, and to influence program and policy initiatives nationally and internationally.</li>
<li>Helps determine the most effective approaches for research and evaluation.</li>
<li>Manages and responds to professional inquiries and consultations related to child injury prevention.</li>
<li>Responsible for in-house knowledge management systems of the organization.</li>
<li>Oversees projects, including project and budget management.</li>
<li>Provides direction and supervision for area staff, students and volunteers.</li>
<li>Responsible for evidence-based research required for government relations and advocacy, programming and strategic partnerships.</li>

<p>The University of Victoria has made civic engagement a priority and, to  that end, the Vice-President Research has created a Knowledge  Mobilization KM initiative in the Office of Research Services.<span id="more-888"></span></p>
<p>The KM activities include the creation, coordination and delivery of  services to support researchers, graduate students and their  non-academic research partners to maximize the purposeful application  and use of research-generated knowledge for societal benefit. Under the  general supervision of the KM Manager, the KM Coordinator provides  effective and efficient service to UVic members and community partners  including partnership building, program development and evaluation,  communications, and funding proposals preparation. Responsibilities  include but are not limited to: administering and supporting KM services  and programs in coordination with the different university groups  engaged in KM; engaging with community organizations (governmental and  non-governmental) to identify needs and opportunities to build and  maintain collaborative research partnerships; identifying sources of  funding for KM initiatives and supporting proposal development; managing  the performance evaluation process in order to monitor the impact of  UVic’s KM strategy; developing communications and promotional materials  for the KM programs and services. The KM Coordinator will be also  responsible for the administration of Post-Doctoral Fellow Research  Personnel within the university, serving as the point person in UVic for  post-doctoral fellows and their faculty supervisors in the provision of  information on support services and facilitation.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be highly motivated, creative,  flexible and self-directed, with an undergraduate degree (graduate  degree preferred), and at least two years of recent related experience  in a research or policy environment within a university, government,  NGO, community or voluntary agency, and/or an equivalent combination of  education, training, and experience. Also required are: proven ability  to work successfully with a wide range of stakeholders to build  sustainable, strategic relationships; ability to work independently as  well as in a team environment; excellent judgment, oral and written  communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills;  strong analytical, and counseling skills in dealing with varied  clientele; background in research skills, methodologies, program  evaluation and academic disciplines; familiarity with  databases and  webpage development.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br />
The Knowledge Transfer and Partnerships Officer will work closely with the Director of<br />
Research Services and to support and sustain a vibrant research culture at Mount Allison. The<br />
Officer’s role will be a facilitative one, providing advice on research funding opportunities,<br />
linking industry and researchers on projects, advising on commercialization opportunities, and<br />
leading special initiatives that result in increased research activity on campus. The Officer will<br />
also be responsible for supporting faculty researchers in the commercialization of their<br />
research, and for supporting the interests of Mount Allison University in the pursuit of<br />
commercialization, patents, and intellectual property protection.</p>
