Project Coordinator – Sun at Work

Sun at Work initiative is a multi-organizational initiative with leadership from Ryerson University and the following partner organizations: the Occupational Cancer Research Centre at CCO, Alberta Health Services, Save Your Skin Foundation, and Sun Safe Nova Scotia. The pan-Canadian project involves the development and implementation of an effective set of work place sun protection measures that act at the individual, contextual, and policy levels. As part of its Health Research Roadmap, CIHR is leading a national dialogue on how to best support and invest in patient-oriented research. The overall goal of the strategy (SPOR) is to improve health care and health outcomes for Canadians through patient-oriented research. KTECOP Survey: Help us plan our 2010/2011 meetings and workshops

Dear Community,

We are delighted to tell you that the KTECOP has received funding from CIHR to support our meetings and workshops in 2010/2011. In late November 2009, we submitted a grant application entitled “Knowledge Translation Community of Practice Linkages and Meetings” to the CIHR Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Knowledge Translation Program. Our application was approved for $7,950. Out of 37 applications submitted, ours was ranked tenth!
