I recently had a student ask me a very relevant question: What journals should I read to learn more about doing knowledge mobilization and becoming a knowledge transfer and exchange specialist?
After asking her a few questions about her interests and goals, I made the following recommendations however, I would like your suggestions as well.
What journals do you read, moniter, reference, or use in your KTE/KMb practice?
Here is my short list:
Implementation Science: http://www.implementationscience.com/
Journal of Knowledge Management: http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journals.htm?issn=1367-3270
KM World Magazine: http://www.kmworld.com/
Internal Journal of Technology Transfer and Commercialisation: http://www.inderscience.com/browse/index.php?journalCODE=ijttc
Journal of Systems Science and Complexity: http://www.sysmath.com/xtkxysx_en/en/index.asp
Knowledge, Technology & Policy: http://www.springerlink.com/content/105285/
I read Evidence & Policy

Thank you for this David.
I was wondering how people assess the relative importance of one journal over another.
Impact factor is something I often hear from others, however I am not sure if they really know what the ratio means. The wikipedia article is a useful start: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impact_factor) to understanding impact factors.
How do you determine the relative importance of a journal to your work in knowledge mobilization?
