The Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health is part of and funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). IHDCYH supports research that ensures the best start in life for all Canadians and the achievement of their potential for optimal growth and development. The IHDCYH team is a busy, highly collaborative, supportive and dynamic team based in Halifax, Toronto and Ottawa, that works on multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives in the field of child, youth and family health research with short to long-term deadlines, making for an exciting and highly dynamic work environment.
Job summary: the Lead – Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization will lead IHDCYH’s partnership and knowledge mobilization activities, as well as manage a number of strategic funding initiatives. Based at Dalhousie University, Halifax, the Lead – Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization will be responsible for engaging and building relationships with Institute stakeholders, which include a wide range of individuals and organizations across a number of sectors including researchers; policy makers; children, youth and families; community organizations and other federal and provincial/territorial funding agencies. In addition, knowledge mobilization is a core focus for IHDCYH and the Lead – Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization will bring their expertise to capitalize on this and the work with partners to deliver on the relevant domains of the recently published Inspiring Healthy Futures framework, as well as the Institute’s strategic priorities.
Salary – Full time: $70,000 – $85,000 per annum (37.5 hours per week)
