PROJECT MANAGER – KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION

 

Full Time – Permanent

 

70 Bi-weekly Hours | Non-Union

 

CABHI is at the forefront of the agetech revolution having funded and accelerated more than 400 companies, projects, and innovative solutions to improve the quality of life of the world’s aging population including and especially those living with or at risk of developing dementia. CABHI’s work accelerates the adoption of these innovative solutions, ensuring more people can age as they choose in the setting of their choice.

 

As a key member of the Knowledge Mobilization (KM) team, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing CABHI’s mission to accelerate innovation adoption in the aging and long-term care sector. Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Mobilization and Strategic Relations, the Project Manager will help deliver CABHI’s comprehensive KM and community engagement strategy by collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including older adults, care delivery organizations, innovators, researchers, policymakers, and more. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering and evaluating the Discover + Adopt program and other programs and initiatives that facilitate seamless connections between innovators and innovation end-users, including care delivery organizations, to ensure that the most impactful solutions reach the hands of those who need them most.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with the KM team to deliver CABHI’s comprehensive KM and community engagement strategy to advance the co-design, adoption, and impact of innovative products, programs, and services.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the Discover + Adopt (D+A) program, including program planning, recruitment, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring its successful execution and alignment with CABHI’s objectives and key results.
  • Program planning and initiation:
    • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and monitor effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified participants for the program.
    • Conduct a thorough review of applications to assess their eligibility against established criteria and provide recommendations to the executive leadership team.
    • Work collaboratively to design, monitor, and refine essential program deliverables and templates (e.g., project charters, implementation plans, procurement reports, and final reports), ensuring that they define measurable outcomes that support project and program success.
  • Program execution:
    • Support the development and delivery of a learning series to share practical strategies and resources on how to use KM, implementation science, and change management best practices to support organizations in building their capacity and readiness to introduce, test, adopt, and procure innovative solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching support to program participants throughout the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation phases of their D+A project, proactively identifying potential risks and offering solutions to mitigate these challenges.
  • Program Evaluation and reporting:
    • Oversee the evaluation of the program and individual projects, including developing and launching an evaluation plan, conducing data analysis, preparing evaluation reports and using the data to make ongoing refinements and improvements to the program
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Actively identify and engage key players in senior care and LTC organizations to join CABHI’s Innovation Network and facilitate knowledge exchange and innovation testing and adoption opportunities.
    • Serve as a liaison between senior care organization and innovators, cultivating a “Trusted Advisor” relationship to facilitate the brokering of relevant innovations that meet organizational needs. This includes developing a deep understanding of organizational pain points and providing strategic guidance to support activities such as stakeholder mapping and engagement, needs assessment, solution selection, implementation, evaluation, adoption, and procurement.
  • Take initiative, work in a dynamic team, and adapt to an evolving and fast-paced environment.
  • Perform cross-functional and other duties as assigned and /or required

 

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • University degree in a health-related discipline, with a preference for candidates with a Masters degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in either Project Management or Knowledge Broker roles.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the long-term care (LTC) and senior care sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science theories, frameworks, and strategies for successful research and/or innovation adoption.
  • Project Management and Organizational Skills:
    • Proficiency in coordinating and monitoring project activities to ensure effective execution, from initiation to final deliverables, while effectively mitigating risks.
    • Ability to create and maintain detailed work plans, timelines, and schedules, as well as proactively identifying and managing resource needs to achieve success.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and operationalize key action items from engaging with LTC groups. This includes assessing barriers to adoption, identifying effective implementation strategies, and developing comprehensive implementation and monitoring plans.
    • Strong attention to detail in designing, adapting, and refining implementation plans and associated materials (e.g., toolkits, case scenarios, training materials)

 

  • Interpersonal and Communication skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. This includes setting clear goals and expectations, problem-solving, consensus-building, and fostering ongoing engagement activities.
    • Ability to facilitate stakeholder dialogues, learning series, communities of practice, and knowledge exchange events.
    • Ability to gather, synthesize, and present accurate information and tailor messages for diverse audiences, including the general public, clinicians, innovators, organizational leaders, policymakers, and industry partners.
